There will be novice and regular classes in the weight pull competition on Saturday after the finish of the sled races.  A minimum of 12 dogs need to be pre-entered for this competition to occur!!!  So give it a try.

SOURDOUGH SPONSOR RACE
This event offers local businesses a chance to "buy" a team and musher (all monies go to the Abby fund) to compete in a fun event.  The business may elect a person associated with their business to help the musher "pack the sled bag", hook up the team, and to even drive the team in the race.  The contestants will start out in their sleeping bags, will have to put on their boots, coat, etc., pack up gear (cooking supplies, snowshoes, sleeping bag, etc.) and load into the sled bag, plus hook up their team of 3-4 dogs and run the race course.  This will be a fun event for contestants and for spectators to watch!!  There will be a traveling trophy for the fastest team (musher and business associate and dogs) that will be then displayed at the winning business for the year and to keep the trophy they must win the event the following year!  The trophy will travel to the winning business establishment for the public to see.
